National Fibromyalgia Research Association Symposiums

1999 1997 Other Abstracts

In accordance with the National Fibromyalgia Research Association’s mission statement to promote FMS education, NFRA has held two fibromyalgia researchers’ forums.

The Subgroups in Fibromyalgia symposium was held in Portland, Oregon on September 26 and 27, 1999 at the Marriott City Center Hotel. Fifteen researchers gathered to share their newest FM research results.

On September 14 and 15, 1997, twenty-two researchers congregated in Portland, Oregon at the Hilton Hotel for the New Dimensions in Fibromyalgia meeting.

Many fibromyalgia patient advocate groups were represented at these seminars. Through newsletters they shared the resulting information with their members. Other invited guests included health care professionals.
